Every DAP DRIPS piece you wear started as a rough sketch. Between that sketch and your door, it goes through a process that most brands never talk about. We're pulling back the curtain — here's exactly how a DAP DRIPS drop goes from idea to reality.
Stage 1: Ideation
It starts with a creative brief — a loose set of ideas, references, and intentions for the upcoming drop. What's the theme? What's the mood? What does this collection say about where Pakistani streetwear is right now?
Our designers fill sketchbooks with rough concepts. Most get rejected immediately. The ones that survive move to digital refinement. This stage can take weeks — we don't rush it because the concept is the foundation of everything that follows.
Stage 2: Digital Design & Mockups
Surviving sketches move into Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Graphics get refined, typography gets set, compositions get locked. Every design is then mocked up on a garment template to see how it translates from screen to fabric.
This is where a lot of designs die. Something that looks great as a flat graphic can look completely wrong on a tee. Proportions change, colors shift, placement matters more than you think. We iterate until it's right.
Stage 3: Fabric Sourcing & Sampling
Once the design is locked, we source the fabric. We work with Pakistani mills that supply export-quality cotton — the same raw material that goes into garments sold internationally, coming directly to you without the markup.
A sample garment gets produced. We check the fit, the drape, the weight, the print quality. Real people wear it. Feedback comes in. Adjustments get made. Sometimes this stage loops two or three times before we're satisfied.
Stage 4: Print Testing
The graphic goes through a rigorous print test. We use high-density plastisol inks with a proper curing process. The sample gets washed five times and inspected for cracking, fading, or bleeding. If it fails at any point, we go back and adjust the ink formulation or curing temperature until it holds.
Stage 5: Production & Quality Control
Once everything is approved, production runs. Every unit goes through a quality control check before it's folded and packed. Stitching, print alignment, fabric consistency — each piece is inspected individually.
